Ying
Chu came from India. He grew up with only the basics and has
maintained that philosophy through his life and into his clothing designs. He
likes the idea of being able to throw things on, wear them to work, and then
wear it to the club dancing with no need for transition. YC: Ying Chu,
the label, was started in 2009 1 year after leaving FIT, and the line has been
modestly growing as friends fall in love with the comfort and feel of his
swooping cuts and innovative shapes and folds. Pieces that are made to
dance with you through every part of your daily life, well into the late hours
of the night and drunken hours of the NY morning. Ready to wake up in,
ready for work... ready to party. Soon word began to spread and Ying
gained attention from press such as ID magazine, Vogue China and numerous
